Welcome to our Junior School
Our Junior School is a beautiful, nurturing environment designed to welcome our youngest learners as they begin their educational journey at Apii Te Uki Ou. This stage of learning focuses on building strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy and social-emotional development. Our three junior classrooms provide a safe, friendly, and stimulating space where curiosity is sparked and a lifelong love for learning begins.
Karavia - Year 0
Shana Kamana
Taught by Shana Kamana, who is also the Junior School Lead. Shana provides a warm, expert introduction to school life for our very youngest learners.
Kuriri - Year 1
Kiana Morris
Taught by Kiana Morris, who guides our Year 1 students as they build confidence, grow their foundational skills and expand their independence.
Kakerori - Year 2
Holly Sutherland
Holly Sutherland looks after our Year 2 learners as they prepare for the exciting transition into the middle school years encouraging more independence and growing their confidence.
