Excellence in Education
ATUO Senior School
Apii Te Uki Ou is offering a junior secondary-level education
(Year 9) with the goal of ensuring students are adequately prepared for NCEA and the world in which they will enter once they complete secondary education. ATUO's commitment to inclusion, excellence and future-focused education has developed a curriculum model that will support individual excellence, and grow well-rounded individuals who have high expectations for themselves and who will develop the skills and attitudes for success.
Why choose ATUO Senior School?
Apii Te Uki Ou is a thriving full primary school with a fantastic location and a proven track record of success for learners. We want all of our learners to have the opportunity to continue this success into their formative years of College. Our progressive model of education will offer students and families a personalised, supported experience with a focus on preparing students for the next stage of their life what ever that may be through our success pathways.
A key element of our senior school is our 'Learning Coach' level of support. Each student is assigned a Learning Coach who will help guide the students through these integral years. The Learning Coach, in collaboration with the teacher, student and their family will help each learner identify interests and passions which may help with future goal setting, develop a learning success pathway and support the development of life skills for success. The Personal Excellence Curriculum will help develop a range of skills for future success, identifying learners needs and mentoring students to be independent, responsible learners for life.
